Softball ACT's Successful 2023 Schools Roadshow Ignites Enthusiasm for T-Ball

Published Fri 18 Aug 2023

More than 1,000 primary school children across seven Canberra schools stepped up to the plate as part of the 2023 Softball ACT Schools Roadshow.

Tailored to students in years two to four, the week-long initiative featured a series of engaging 45-minute sessions including 15 minutes for warm-up and skills-based drills and a 30-minute T-ball game.

An overwhelming positive response was received from both teachers and students alike, with many students expressing a keen interest in signing up to a T-ball Competition.

A special mention to the wonderful volunteers from the softball community who played a pivotal role in making the roadshow an enthusiastic and educational experience for all involved.

The Softball ACT School Roadshow serves to re-invigorate the interest and awareness of T-Ball and Softball amongst young kids and teachers. At the conclusion of each session, every participant receives a certificate which includes opportunities to register at a T-ball Club throughout the territory for the upcoming 2023/24 season. The school roadshow is the first step on the participation pathway for kids before playing in a club setting and through the 2023 Home Run Heroes program.
