Saturday highlights @ the AIS

Testing got underway, with each participant's base line data being captured.

Former Aussie Steeler, Dave McCaskie delivered the warm-up session, providing participants with a variety of exercises to incorporate into future trainings and game preparation.

SACT also welcomed Olympic Gold Medal Game Umpire, Kyira Cox for an evening chat on the pressures of performing at the elite level, as well as a quiz on some of our sport's misunderstood rules.

Elite 8 Academy - Sunday @ the AIS

After an early wake-up and brekky, the day kicked off with a session led by Luke Lee Tet on the mental approach to the game, as well as the use of confidence-building strategies.

Athletes then completed a range of fielding and batting drills, delivered collaboratively by Laing and Former Aussie Spirit Captain, Clare Warwick.

With a focus on getting back to the basics and using a high attention to detail, SACT are looking forward to monitoring the growth and development of our Elite 8 athletes throughout the remaining 7 weeks of the program.

The remaining 7 weeks of the academy will commence at the Narrabundah Batting Cages on Sunday 17 May.
