HDSA Wet Weather Process

Peter Black - President - 5 November 2010

The following sets out the process HDSA adopts in the event of wet weather - either before or during game day:

1. Note that Hornsby Council allows summer sports users to make decisions re grounds - its therefore the decision of HDSA as to what we do.

2. HDSA makes decision after inspection of grounds on the Saturday based on duty of care, safety and player comfort considerations.

3. Bureau of Meteorology weather forecast and weather radar loop checked in making decision.

4. A decision may be made on a game by game basis depending on weather and ground conditions. And we may change our mind when you get to Hayes Park - we unfortunately cannot control everything :-)  For the first game of the day, a decision will be made by 7:15am.

5.  If game by game decisions are required, updates will be made at least an hour before game scheduled game commencement time - please check before leaving home if possible.

6. This website and/or Bounceback SMS number below are updated

SMS HDSA to 1992 2767 [Call cost 55c]
